We are proud to deliver our first Ultimaker 3D printer. We have supplied ready-made and calibrated Ultimaker 3D printer along with necessary 3D-software for large educational customer. We are hoping that it will support innovation among studends and start-up's. Affordable small scale 3D printers nowdays are great for both educational, prototyping and personal hobby use. They use either ABS or PLA plastic and can print up to 20 x 20 x 20 cm plastic objects.
We are pleased to help Finnish aircraft equipment and aircraft importer Windcraft by repairing one of their aircraft flight instruments. Instrument had large color display, 2 radios, a GPS, 4 air-pressure inputs and multiple other sensors as well. We are looking forward to similar co-operation in the future as well.
We are pleased to help great people at FlyNano.
They are making aviation history by building an new type of fixed wing single-seat aeroplane with total weight under 70 kilograms!
PalonenLABS will deliver both IP67 protected CAN-bus display and some electric vehicle expertise for this project.
PalonenLABS recently made an custom .NET C# DLL for Omron PLC. The DLL communicates with Omron PLC's with Omron FINS protocol and provides an easy way of communicating with PLC's over Ethernet and Serial-buses. Work was done for large Finnish aluminum industry customer.
We participated in a small EV-event in Helsinki. There were maybe 20-30 electric vehicles there, also including our very own prototype, the eCagiva motorcycle. The event was a kickoff-event for ”TEKES” program for electric vehicle usage in Finland. The ultimate plan is to test electric vehicle usage with 500 electric vehicles here in Finland. That would more than triple the amount of registered EV’s in Finland !
Few weeks ago we were at DIY-fairs (sort of Finnish Maker Fairs) displaying electric motorcycle conversion, electric bicycle conversion and a 3D printer & a 3D scanner. All of them generated a lot of interest but 3D printer was definitely the thing among people. Few kids actually waited for 1.5 hours to one print to finish - it was a print of ”MiniFig” from Thingiverse.
Local newspaper made an small article after the event. Article was titled as ”3D printing will revolutionise our thinking of objects around us” (quite loose translation).
We are currently doing an CAN-bus adapter for Eltek Valere Powercharger. These CAN-bus controlled chargers can deliver up to 3.3 kW of raw DC-power with IP67 protection. They are very well suited for EV’s and for that reason, we are developing an method for controlling these with most analog BMS-systems available today.
There will be an small Automotive rated ”converter” that reads analog output from analog BMS's and outputs the necessary CAN-signals to the charger. If you are interested to hear more, please stop by to our workshop or e-mail us for more details.
PalonenLABS designed and manufactured an Supermoto-class racing motorcycle for large Finnish mid-level school. Contract involved designing, building and testing the bike. Bike had about 5 kWh Kokam Lithium batteries, an Agni 95R 16/30 kW DC-motor and Stybrook analog cell protectors.
PalonenLABS provided an end-to-end solution to Finnish Electric Vehicle conversion company needing custom CAN-bus displays for their few custom EV-conversion projects. Contract involved 3D design and handling 3D print-manufacturing of custom plastic case. Also custom electronics was made and used. End result was a customized CAN-bus equipped graphical display providing 128x64 px with RGB-backlight.
